Human Patient Simulators

Overview

Human Patient Simulators (HPS), often referred to as “Manikins” (a model of the human body with joints, commonly used in anatomy), represent the primary equipment utilised by teams for regular simulation training. Their significance lies in providing a fully immersive environment for learning and scenario enactment. These tools effectively facilitate clinical decision-making for various professionals.

King’s Academy maintains a diverse array of HPS in its inventory to ensure widespread access to simulation across all departments within the Trust. Spanning from newborns (including premature infants) to adult and elderly models, our collection allows for comprehensive education from infancy to old age.

We adopt an equipment-agnostic approach, rejecting allegiance to any specific manufacturer. Instead, our experts collaborate closely with course leaders to align equipment selection with learning objectives, thereby ensuring optimal outcomes. Consequently, our simulator family comprises models sourced from multiple companies, each offering a variety of features. Should you have specific preferences or requirements, please don’t hesitate to inquire, as we are eager to tailor our offerings to meet your needs
