This course delivers comprehensive training that combines theoretical foundations with hands-on training in nasogastric tube management. Key elements of the course include:

- Focus on Safety and Compliance: Emphasis on safe practice standards and adherence to care protocols, essential for ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Instruction by Experts: Courses led by experienced healthcare educators who are committed to enhancing your clinical skills, building confidence, and ensuring you provide the highest standard of care.
- Self-study: pre-learning materials will be provided two weeks prior to the in-person training day
This course is ideal for experienced nurses and doctors tasked with training other healthcare staff members in NG Tube management, and healthcare professionals responsible for patients requiring nasogastric feeding.
This certification is valid for one year, annual update is recommended.
Eligibility criteria to attend this course:
- NMC registered nurse working in a setting that inserts and manages nasogastric tubes
- GMC registered doctor working in a setting that inserts and manages nasogastric tubes
- Become a certified Nasogastric (NG) Tube Trainer
- Practical Experience: Engage in hands-on training for nasogastric tube placement and care
- Skill Development: Advance your teaching skills, gain competence in the safe and effective management of NG tubes, reducing the potential for complications
- Improved Patient Outcomes: Enhance the quality of care you provide, ensuring the best possible results for patients with enteral nutritional needs
- Improve competence at your work place: Share your knowledge and train other healthcare professionals at your workplace

- On a successful completion of the King’s Nasogastric (NG) Tube Train the Trainer Course you will become skilled to train others in nasogastric tube insertion and ongoing care
- You will be presented with a Certificate of Completion, valid for one year
- An annual update is recommended
